Where Engineering Meets Entertainment

Members of Cal Poly’s Themed Entertainment Association Club (CAPED) went behind the scenes at Universal Studios Hollywood for an exclusive industry tour. The group met with engineers from the Technical Services team and professionals from the Entertainment division, gaining insight into the design and operation of major attractions. Highlights included a close-up look at the ride system and vehicles for “The Secret Life of Pets: Off the Leash” and a preview of the park’s new “Star Trek: Operation Enterprise” experience. CAPED offers students hands-on opportunities to explore careers in themed entertainment through industry tours, networking and creative projects.
