Big Work With Nanoparticles

Student and professor in lab
Environmental engineering professor Amro El Badawy works with civil engineering student Adam Monroe on conducting undergraduate research using nanoparticles to detect microbes in drinking water. The project was part of the new Partners Scholars program which pairs freshmen civil and environmental engineering students with faculty research projects. This year, 13 students received a $500 stipend to work directly with faculty members that are addressing real-world issues.
