Inspiring Tomorrow’s HVAC&R Innovators

Student talks with industry rep at career fair
Lucas Crother-Collado, right, a first-year mechanical engineering student and member of the Cal Poly swim team, speaks with Jaycen Mouillesseaux, a Cal Poly alumnus and system designer at Bay Air Systems, about career opportunities in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) field. The conversation took place during the HVAC&R Industry Showcase, held on Oct. 11 in the Advanced Technologies Laboratories and Bonderson Project Center. The event, hosted by the Cal Poly ASHRAE student club, provided students with a chance to connect with industry professionals. Mouillesseaux, a former ASHRAE club officer, returned as an industry representative and enjoyed sharing his insights with current students. "I’m really happy I got invited. It’s a lot of fun to help younger students,” he said.
