International Women’s Day

International Women's Day March 8, 2021 #choosetochallenge #IWD2021 #IWDCP

Join the Cal Poly International Center and campus community in celebrating International Women’s Day, March 8.

We’re excited to host a virtual panel presentation, ‘Choose to Challenge Gender Inequity’ that will cover gender-related issues from cross-cultural and international perspectives, including how gender norms have shaped and influenced the career paths and academic achievements of Cal Poly faculty & staff.

Panelists include Joni Roberts, DrPH CHES (KINE), Dawn Neill, PhD (ISLA), Ning Zhang, PhD (POLS), and Olivia Bảo-Khanh Trần (Student Diversity and Belonging). The panel is co-sponsored by the Men and Masculinities Program, the College of Liberal Arts and the College of Science and Mathematics.

Register here to attend the virtual panel presentation on March 8, 11:10 am-12 noon.

We invite students, faculty and staff to celebrate women’s achievements and raise awareness against bias. Strike the ‘choose to challenge’ pose by raising a hand assertively to show that you choose to challenge inequity and post it on your preferred social media channel using #ChooseToChallenge and #IWDCP. Then go to the International Center homepage to view your post and see how others around the world are celebrating International Women’s Day. Men and Masculinities will hold a #ChooseToChallenge photo workshop at noon on March 3.
