Professor Ramanan Sritharan’s research students from the mechanical engineering department participated in the SAMPE 2026 Conference held in Seattle, Washington, from April 27-30 and presented one peer-reviewed paper and three posters. This paper originated from Summer Undergraduate Research Program (SURP) 2025 project. The presentations highlight Cal Poly’s commitment to hands-on research and innovation in nanocomposites.
Participating students include:
- Wyatt Barnes
- Jacky Liang
Faculty Advisor:
- Dr. Ramanan Sritharan
Publications:
- Comparison of Ultrasound-Hot Plate and High-Shear Centrifugal Mixing Techniques for Fabricating CNT-Reinforced Nanocomposite Panels
Posters:
- “Drop-Weight Test-Based Evaluation of Nanocomposites Reinforced with Carbon Nanotubes of Varying Geometries”
- “Comparison of Ultrasound-Hot Plate and High-Shear Centrifugal Mixing Techniques for Fabricating CNT-Reinforced Nanocomposite Panels”
