Cal Poly evaluates each of its core competencies (https://academicprograms.calpoly.edu/core-competency-assessment) on a six-year cycle as part of its accreditation process through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). This year, the university is focusing on gathering data related to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) core competency. The DEI Core Competency Assessment Task Force is seeking faculty volunteers to administer a diversity learning outcomes survey to students in their courses. The survey is anonymous, and responses will be aggregated by the task force to assess how well students are achieving this competency and to identify opportunities to enhance learning in these areas.
