ACEC Peninsula Chapter Scholarship Applications Now Open

Applications are now open for the American Council of Engineering Companies Peninsula Chapter Scholarship.

To be eligible, you must:

  1. Be a resident of San Mateo County.
  2. Be enrolled at a community college or accredited university in the United States.
  3. Indicate an interest in engineering or land surveying.
  4. Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher through fall 2025.

Students interested in this scholarship should send an email to Patrick Connors at pconnors@bkf.com with a personal note letter (in PDF format, see content requirements below) as an attachment. The email should be titled “ACEC Peninsula Chapter Scholarship 2026” and must be sent no later than 11:59 p.m. on April 30. No applications will be accepted after the time stamp noted above.

The personal note letter should be a short narrative (no more than two pages long) with the descriptions of the following topics:

  1. Describe your reason of your choice on the major and your career goals that may include future education and employment goals.
  2. Describe your work experience, including companies worked for a duties performed.
  3. Describe your school activities, extracurricular activities, hobbies or special interests.
  4. Describe your financial need and how you would use this scholarship. Please indicate if you are interested in summer or part-time employment to supplement the scholarship.

In addition to the personal note letter mentioned above, applicant must also provide the following:

  1. Filled out “2026 Scholarship Application” in PDF format.
  2. An electronically official transcript that includes your fall 2025 final grades.
