The College of Engineering is excited to announce the fifth annual Art of Engineering Challenge. We invite students, faculty, staff and alumni to explore the scientific discipline and creative pursuit of art by submitting visual works that highlight the aesthetic beauty of engineering. Selected pieces will be showcased in our common spaces and laboratories, bringing creativity and inspiration into the places where innovation happens.
Need some inspiration? As an engineer and creator, explore the interplay between engineering and art. Consider demonstrating the beauty enabled and expressed through engineering, such as physical assembly, CAD, coding or any other elegant visualizations of data, information or design. Alternatively, use traditional artists’ mediums: paint, pencil, photography and your engineering know-how to share the beauty of the engineering design process: design, build, break and fix!
This year, we are particularly interested in receiving submissions focused on constructive engineering and on celebrating affinity group cultures.
