The Office of Research is pleased to share the call for nominations for the CSU STEM-NET 2026-27 Faculty Fellows Program. STEM-NET empowers CSU STEM leaders to harness their expertise in pedagogy, research, and grant writing to ensure the success of CSU students and faculty. Driven by an unwavering commitment to student success, STEM-NET’s goal is to transform the CSU into a preeminent champion of inclusive access to research and learning experiences to equip STEM students for thriving careers in STEM-related fields.
The call to serve as a Faculty Fellow is to further develop Cal Poly’s role with STEM-NET. In addition, it is helping to test the benefits of STEM-NET Faculty Fellows at campuses across the CSU.
Faculty Fellow Responsibilities:
- Work with key faculty to develop and submit targeted STEM-based proposals. The subject areas are to be determined in consultation with the provost (or designee).
- Develop collaborative grants (educational- and research-based) with faculty.
- Help promote a culture of scholarship on campus.
- Take on new initiatives designated by the provost.

Submission Deadline: Applications must be submitted to the
Office of Research via research@calpoly.edu by 11:59pm on Monday, Feb. 9.
Application Limit: One Faculty Fellows application per institution. *Please keep in mind, all applications must be submitted to the Office of Research. Applications submitted directly to the STEM-NET Steering Committee will not be considered.
Eligibility Requirements: Submitters should be full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty members with a disciplinary association with science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) (broadly defined) and who are active disciplinary and/or pedagogical scholars.
Appointment Duration: July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.
