The 2026-27 IRA New Recognition and Continuing Recognition forms are now available. They are also posted at APP’s Instructionally Related Activities site.
Please note that the deadlines have changed this year for two reasons:
- To reflect the new partnership between APP and AFD on IRAs, and
- To provide time for IRA affairs to be set up earlier than usual for fall semester 2026.
As the forms explain on their final respective pages:
For New IRA proposals:
- Proposal and Budget Forms with all signatures prior to the Dean’s Office are due to your College Dean’s Office or, for Student Affairs IRAs, to the Vice President for Student Affairs, no later than end of day on Friday, Dec. 5.
- All forms reviewed and approved by Deans and Vice President for Student Affairs are due to Jean Lee (jlee473@calpoly.edu) in Academic Programs and Planning no later than end of day on Friday, Dec. 12.
For Continuing IRA Proposals:
- Forms with proposer and department director/head/chair signatures are due to your College Dean’s Office or, for Student Affairs IRAs, to the Vice President for Student Affairs, no later than end of day on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2026.
- All University Interest category IRA forms, reviewed and approved by the College Dean(s) and/or the Vice President for Student Affairs as appropriate, are due to Jean Lee (jlee473@calpoly.edu) in Academic Programs and Planning no later than end of day on Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026.
