Two decades ago, Cal Poly launched the Biomedical Engineering Department with a bold vision: to combine engineering excellence with innovations that improve health and quality of life. Since then, our graduates have gone on to design groundbreaking medical devices, lead research teams, launch startups and make a difference in communities around the world.
Now, it’s time to celebrate that journey — and the people who made it possible.
We’re inviting all BMED alumni, faculty, staff, and friends back to campus for a 20th anniversary celebration on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Engineering Plaza. Enjoy an evening of food, drinks, music, and plenty of time to reconnect with professors, classmates and fellow alumni.
To make the weekend even more special, we’re also offering optional activities like lab tours, hikes, and other opportunities to explore campus and San Luis Obispo.
Tickets are on sale now — visit bmed.calpoly.edu/alumni to reserve your spot and be part of this milestone celebration.
Let’s raise a glass to 20 years of innovation, collaboration and community — and to the next 20 years of shaping the future of biomedical engineering at Cal Poly.
