Key Details

  • Abstract submission period: Sept. 17, 2025 – Oct. 15, 2025

Submitting an abstract to the 2026 ASEE Annual Conference offers several compelling benefits for engineering educators, researchers, and professionals. Here’s why you should consider submitting:

🔹 1. Showcase Your Work to a National & Global Audience

ASEE is the premier conference for engineering education. Presenting at ASEE puts your teaching innovations, research, or institutional initiatives in front of:

  • Faculty and administrators from top universities and colleges
  • Industry leaders and education-focused engineers
  • Policymakers and education researchers

🔹 2. Advance the Field of Engineering Education

Whether you’re introducing a new teaching method, curriculum model, assessment tool, or diversity initiative, your work contributes to improving how future engineers are educated.

🔹 3. Professional Recognition

  • Gain visibility for your department or institution
  • Strengthen your promotion and tenure portfolio
  • Compete for best paper or division awards
  • Get your work published in ASEE conference proceedings

🔹 4. Valuable Feedback & Collaboration

  • Receive feedback from peers through structured Q&A sessions
  • Build connections that can lead to research collaborations or grant opportunities
  • Exchange ideas that can improve your own teaching or research

🔹 5. Support a Culture of Innovation

ASEE celebrates novel approaches. Even work-in-progress projects are welcomed and encouraged—this is a constructive venue to share early-stage ideas.

🔹 6. Mentorship and Networking Opportunities

Meet and engage with educators at all career stages, from early-career faculty to long-time leaders in the field. ASEE divisions often host mentoring events and networking sessions.

🔹 7. Influence Policy and Practice

Your work can help shape discussions on national STEM education policy, equity and inclusion efforts, accreditation trends (e.g., ABET), and industry-academia partnerships.

🔹 8. Be Part of the 2026 Charlotte Experience

Charlotte, NC offers a vibrant setting with strong industry ties, a growing tech scene, and a welcoming conference environment. It’s a great opportunity to learn, grow, and connect in a dynamic city.

Important Reminders

  • Deadlines are firm — ASEE will not be extending the submission deadline.
  • Be sure to anonymize abstracts and follow the double‑blind review requirements where applicable.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference.
