Applications for the fall quarter SMART program are now open.
The SMART Scholarship-for-Service Program is a unique opportunity for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) students to advance their education and jumpstart their careers. SMART provides merit-based scholarships to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students pursuing STEM degrees. SMART scholarship recipients receive full tuition, annual stipends, summer internships and — after graduation — civilian employment with the Department of Defense.
To kick off the application cycle, students are encouraged to attend the SMART 101: Application Kickoff Webinar on Aug. 13. The session is open to all students and faculty and will provide a comprehensive overview of the program and application process. Register here.
Applications are open annually from August 1 to the first Friday in December. Check your eligibility here to see if you qualify, and take the first step toward a successful future in STEM.
