Are you ready to take your hands-on engineering skills to new heights?

AERO 471: Experimental Aircraft Fabrication Skills Lab is a project-based technical elective offered by the Aerospace Engineering Department and open to engineering students of all grade levels this fall quarter.

In this unique course, students will begin construction of a Van’s Aircraft RV-12 kit plane — a real, flyable aircraft! The lab meets twice weekly at the San Luis Obispo Airport — Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 to 6 p.m. — so personal transportation is required.

Spots are available now, and students can register immediately through Schedule Builder.

Please note: Although the course description lists Consent of Instructor as a prerequisite, this can be disregarded for enrollment.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain real-world fabrication experience and be part of an exciting aviation project!
