Sign up for My Cal Poly Research Training

The Division of Research has launched a new electronic research administration system which you can access directly from your Cal Poly portal (look on the left hand side under ‘My Apps’ and find My Cal Poly Research). This system is now your one-stop shop for preparing external grant and contract submissions and for organizing communications throughout your submission process.  

The proposal initiation form (PIF) is now integrated in the platform — it is very similar to the ‘old’ PIF, but has a few changes (like the need to select your sponsor from a drop down list) in order to make proposal tracking easier.  For an overview of how to use the new PIF and to get oriented to My Cal Poly Research, sign up for a PIF training. To learn how documents and communications will be shared between the PI and grants analyst during your submission process, sign up for the TASK training. To learn how to approve a proposal (chairs and deans), sign up for an Approver Training.
