As spring quarter kicks off, staying engaged as a campus community is more important than ever. One of the best ways to get involved is by participating in the annual ASI Elections, taking place every spring. Voting for ASI President and ASI Board of Directors will take place virtually from Tuesday, April 22 at 8 a.m. through Thursday, April 24 at 8 a.m. Students can access the ballot on the ASI website or through their Cal Poly Portal.
Student Government leaders advocate for change, support and resources to create positive contributions both on- and off-campus. The ASI President represents the general student body and acts as the official representative of ASI to the Cal Poly administration and the general public. The Board of Directors is comprised of representatives from each academic college that serve as the official voice of students regarding student advocacy efforts and ASI corporate activity.
This year, we’re excited to bring even more opportunities for you to connect with the candidates and stay informed. Check out these key election events:

File as a Write-In Candidate:
Any student who wishes to run for candidacy and did not file a candidate packet prior to the deadline can still run by filing as a write-in candidate. Just complete the appropriate filing forms for ASI President or the ASI Board of Directors on the ASI Recruitment and Elections website. Intent to run declarations are due by Friday, April 25 at 8 a.m., 24 hours after the voting period ends.
The students currently serving on Student Government have been actively involved in the discussions with administration in this period of campus-wide change — and our next leaders will continue to uphold that responsibility and represent the voice of the student body.
