2025 Cal Poly Undergraduate Research Week

All members of the Cal Poly community are invited to participate in the 2025 Cal Poly Undergraduate Research Week Monday, April 21 to Friday, April 25. These events are part of a national celebration of undergraduate research organized each year by the Council on Undergraduate Research.

Cal Poly Undergraduate Research Week events are open to all members of the Cal Poly community and all disciplines. More information is available on Instagram @calpolystudentresearch. Questions may be directed to studentresearch@calpoly.edu.

Monday, April 21: Accessing the Secret Menu: How to Get Involved with Student Research

    • Details: M 4/21, 10:10-11am

    • Description: Get access to the Secret Menu. Learn more about how to get involved in student research at Cal Poly and off-campus. Organized by the Office of Student Research.

    Tuesday, April 22: For Faculty, Staff & Administrators: Building Inclusive Student Fellowships 

    • Details: T 4/22, 1:10-2pm
    • Location: By Zoom (Meeting ID 770 101 3932)  
    • Description: For faculty, staff and administrators seeking to support the professional development of students (including those without work authorization) by creating inclusive research/creative practice and related fellowships. Learn about when fellowships with financial awards can be utilized and how to create these financial awards-based fellowship programs. Organized by the Office of Student Research in coordination with the Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success (CCC-USS). 

    Wednesday, April 23: Editing & Publishing Undergraduate Research/Creative Practice Journals as Students at Cal Poly! (A Student & Faculty Panel)

    Wednesday, April 23: “Making the Most of Your Summer” Info Session for College of Engineering Students

      • Description: Will discuss the CENG Summer Undergraduate Research Program (CENG SURP) (applications due 5/2) and other summer options! Organized by the College of Engineering. 

      Friday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26: CSU-wide Student Research Competition at Cal Poly Humboldt
