Civil and environmental engineering Professor Stefan Talke and his cohorts recently published their research, “Evaluating Historical Changes in a Mussel Bed Community in Northern California,” in the journal Scientific Reports. The publication denotes how a mussel bed community in northern California has maintained its population over a period of time where other mussel populations have declined.

For an in-depth look on mussel habitats and more information on the publication, read the UC Davis article, “Mussel Bed Surveyed Before World War II Still Thriving.”
