Electrical Engineering
Electrical engineering Professor Taufik was featured as an expert in a recent MarketWatch guide.
The post, “Compare Texas Electricity Rates and Plans,” focuses on electricity trends, frequently asked questions and how consumers can save money on their electricity bills.
Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical engineering Professor Steffen Peuker, Alessandro Hill (University of Bologna), Ioannis Mourtos (Athens University of Economics and Business) and Cal Poly graduate David Hom published the research article, “Social Classroom Seating Assignment Problems.”
The research devises a method to arrange seating that maximizes students’ exposure to new peers while addressing the needs of both teachers and students.
The details of this approach and realistic test data used in the study are available to the public online.
