The College of Engineering recognized the incredible achievements of faculty and staff members at the collegewide meeting on Tuesday, June 11.
Ten members of the College of Engineering were honored for their outstanding contributions to the college and community.
Civil and environmental engineering Associate Professor Hani Alzraiee and Engineering Student Services Assistant Director and Multicultural Engineering Program Coordinator Katie Jennings were awarded the CENG Staff and Faculty Award for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
This award recognizes staff and faculty who have demonstrated a record of creating, implementing, offering or supporting programs that support a diverse and inclusive culture within the college.
Mustang ‘60 Machine Shop Manager Eric Pulse was awarded the College of Engineering Outstanding Staff Award and the Don and Paula Heye Staff and Faculty Award for Safety, which recognizes those who have demonstrated a record safety culture withing the college.
Computer science and software engineering Assistant Professor Ayaan Kazerouni was awarded the Don and Paula Heye Award for Outstanding Club Advising for his work with Hack4Impact.
This award recognizes and honors the meritorious efforts of an individual who provides exemplary service to students through club advising.
Civil and environmental engineering Professor Garrett Hall, mechanical engineering Assistant Professor Hans Mayer and electrical engineering Professor Taufik were honored with the Outstanding Teaching Award.
Electrical engineering Assistant Professor Siavash Farzan, computer science and software engineering Assistant Professor Phoenix Fang and materials engineering Assistant Professor Joel Galos were honored with the Lockheed Martin Endowed Professorship Award for their individual research contributions.
