The College of Engineering welcomes you to celebrate your graduation by participating in a joint ceremony.
For those graduating in computer science or computer engineering, you are welcome to participate in the Pledge of the Computing Professional, while all other engineering majors are invited to participate in the Order of the Engineer.
The Pledge of the Computing Professional is solely intended to promote and recognize the ethical and moral behavior of graduates of computing-related degree programs as they transition to careers of service to society.
The Order of the Engineer is for graduating engineers who recognize the importance of ethics and responsibility in the engineering profession and choose to honor that through this self-selecting organization.
If you are interested in participating in the joint celebratory ceremony for both organizations, visit either:
Pledge of the Computing Professional Google form
or
Order of the Engineer website and Google form
to review the obligation and complete the form by May 6.
Once you’ve completed the form, the College of Engineering will order either your ring or pin (for computing) and certificate.
To complete the process, please bring payment to the College of Engineering Dean’s office (192-301). The cost of the ring and certificate is $12, while the cost of the pin and certificate is $10. Cash and check are both accepted.
The ceremony will be held on June 14 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the ATL.
The Engineering Student Council will host a ring-sizing event for graduating seniors at the Engineering IV Plaza. The event will be held on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
