Let’s Talk STEM is a free, confidential, drop-in, one-on-one, informal consultation space with Campus Health & Wellbeing Counseling Services provider, Cheri Love, LMFT (she/hers) for STEM majors.
Why: STEM students experience unique stressors due to the rigorous subject matter as well as the unique cultures of STEM fields.
Where: Thursdays from 3:10 to 4 p.m. in Building 40, Room 119.
Who: Cheri’s early career included research in immunology and cell and molecular biology. Later, through her graduate internship, Cheri helped coordinate the MATH SPIRAL summer program serving students from HBCUs and women’s colleges at the University of Maryland. Cheri has a passion for supporting those navigating the challenges of STEM especially BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, first-generation and neurodivergent students.
