On behalf of the Multicultural Center, I would like to invite faculty to a PolyCultural Weekend (PCW) Info Session where we will provide you with a PCW 2024 Program Overview, Mission & Goals and Impact Data from previous years.

The information session will be held at 11:10 a.m. Monday, March 18 via Zoom.

This year’s PCW Program will take place the weekend of April 19-21, and many of you have been ongoing supporters of this high-impact program. This is an optional info session in effort to increase campus awareness amidst key campus partners.

PolyCultural Weekend has historically been a time to welcome admitted students from underrepresented minority backgrounds. Before students decide on their Cal Poly admissions, we invite an average of 150-200 students to visit campus and connect them with students who belong to a variety of cultural student organizations. We rely on our campus partners and student organizations to provide prospective students with an introduction to key resources and communities. Student participants receive peer mentorship, academic engagement and get a sense of the type of spaces of belonging and support structures found at Cal Poly.

To streamline campus partner collaboration and communication, we invite you to invite you to a virtual information session to share more about this program and how we partner with many of you to make it possible.

For those of you who can’t make the meeting, we plan to record this session and will distribute it with all of you. We hope most of you can still make it to this meeting as we will make space for any Q&A.

Thank you for supporting PCW!
