Summer Internship Opportunities at Sandia National Labs

As part of a Department of Energy RENEW grant, we have internship opportunities at Sandia National Laboratories exploring quantum information science and technology.

Example internship projects include exploring topological material-based device physics, developing software to interface hardware with existing trapped ion quantum controls, characterizing a broadband electro-optical modulator for trapped ion quantum computing and developing simulations for trapped ion behavior.

The internships take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and are only open to CSU students. Participants must be an enrolled undergraduate student at any CSU campus, able to relocate to Albuquerque ($1500 relocation assistance available) and be able to work 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and September 2024. Interns will be compensated $30/hour.
