Students Honored with Introductory Statistics Class Project Award

Students Nick Waizenegger (industrial engineering), Jacob Krynock (materials engineering) and Elan Preis (industrial engineering) earned honorable mentions in the June 2023 Introductory Statistics Class Project competition for their project, “A Comparative Analysis of Translation Performance: ChatGPT vs. Google Translate.”

The class project competition, sponsored by the American Statistical Association (ASA) and the Consortium for Advancement of Undergraduate Statistics Education (CAUSE), is for undergraduate students who conduct projects as part of an introductory or intermediate-level statistics or data science course.
