Tuesday, Oct. 31 2023, marks the ninth anniversary of the loss of SpaceShipTwo during a test flight near Mojave, California. The destruction of the craft claimed the life of test pilot Michael T. Alsbury, a Cal Poly graduate in aerospace engineering (B.S., Aerospace Engineering, 1998).
To honor Alsbury, there will be an informal walk up Poly Canyon to the memorial bench at 3:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31. The starting point will be at the plaza in front of Building 192. All are welcome to join.
