The session will be at 11:10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the ATL’s Keck Lab. Lunch will be provided.
Fire protection engineers design fire-protection systems for buildings and structures so people can safely exit the buildings in the event of a fire.
Because of the increase in wildfires and the change in construction materials, there are many job opportunities in the field.
The information session will explain the profession and potential careers, discuss the graduate program in fire protection engineering at Cal Poly and talk about the companies coming to the fall career fair who hire for such positions.
