WoCEMP Now Recruiting Cal Poly CENG Student Mentees

The Women of Color in Engineering Mentorship Program (WoCEMP) is an initiative aimed at fostering inclusivity and empowering women of color pursuing careers in engineering through mentorship. Mentorship plays a vital role in shaping the professional growth and development of individuals, and we are offering an opportunity to connect with a dedicated mentor to guide and support you throughout your journey. As a mentee, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights, experiences and industry knowledge from engineers who have experienced what you may be going through.

The mentorship program is scheduled to extend throughout the 2023-24 school year, with the potential for continuation beyond this period if both mentors and mentees express a desire to continue their meetings.

You will match with a mentor based on your shared interests, career goals and compatibility.

You and your mentor will have the flexibility to choose communication methods on platforms of your choice, including in-person meetings, video calls or phone calls.

We ask you to commit to dedicating approximately 30 minutes per month to the mentorship program.

In you are interested in becoming a mentee in WoCEMP, please complete the application by Sept. 30 so we can match you with a mentor best fit for you.

Please reach out to cpwocemp@gmail.com with any questions, and please share this opportunity with anyone you think may benefit from it!
