The Cal Poly Employee Development Office is offering an Exposing Hidden Bias Workshop.
The event will be on March 21 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Zoom. Participants will take part in an important discussion that brings attention to the unconscious biases we all possess. The event will provide strategies for overcoming biases in our work and relationships.
Learn about diversity and inclusion, how to recognize areas where unconscious bias may surface, how to identify strategies for avoiding bias and where to find resources available for additional learning and involvement.
The Employee Development Office will also be offering an overview of unconscious bias and its impact on the hiring process. In the Avoiding Bias in Hiring Workshop, participants will be provided with tools and strategies for ensuring that the best candidates apply and are hired for open positions.
