On the Canvas page, you can also find college deadlines, most notably the May 15 deadline for each department to submit initial course proposals for all courses offered that are required by the department’s major programs. Check with your department chair for internal deadlines.
Innovative Engineering Education Fair
We are excited to announce the upcoming Innovative Engineering Education Fair created to support faculty in the development of their course proposals. This will be a reoccurring event in the ATL on Thursdays from 11 a.m. to noon. The events will be on April 6 and April 20.
This fair provides valuable resources, including featured presentations by champions to help explore various aspects of course proposal development. Office hours and open assistance from various department curriculum chairs will be available (any faculty can come ask any question about curriculum and course proposal writing).
We will discuss the CENG supplemental form and aligning courses with the college strategic plan. Jennifer Mott will discuss equitable grading and Aaron Keen will review course proposals to help faculty get ideas for what works well.

Q2S Factoids
This year’s admitted students will experience their senior year on the semester system! The college has approximately 838 courses on the quarter system, and the current semester curriculum proposals include approximately 709 courses. This means faculty members are working on writing 700 course proposals for the semester curriculum, with all required courses for each major due May 15 for department and college-level curriculum committees to have time to review these courses.
