Applications Now Open for CET Seed Grant Program

Applications are now open for the 2023 Center for Expressive Technologies Seed Grant Program

Seed Grants are open to tenure track faculty, lecturers and staff from all Cal Poly departments and colleges. The program provides up to $4000 for student assistants, travel or additional compensation to support research or creative activities. The grant can also be combined with other college or university funding.

Any project that studies or uses technology in creative ways to improve the human experience is eligible. If your project enhances community, justice, education, beauty or other human values, please consider applying!

This year, we are also looking for projects that use the new Jack and Felicia Cashin Expressive Technology Studios in the William and Linda Frost Center for Research and Innovation. This is an amazing space to use the latest projection, sound and lighting technologies and for the exhibition of art, video, audio or mixed reality experiences. The space is scheduled to be available by fall 2023.

If you have a creative idea for a new project or want to utilize a great new space on campus for your work, please consider submitting a proposal.

The deadline to apply is Friday, April 28. More information about how to apply is provided on the CET website, where you can also learn more about CET and find examples of past Seed Grant projects
