Seeking participants for research study on smart insole to detect abnormal gait. Our names are Karoline Wucherer and Kyle VanHousen, and we are working on developing a smart orthotic device capable of gait rehabilitation for our BMED master’s project. To test our device, we will need participants to use our device and allow us to collect data, specifically force data taken while the participant is walking. Since our device is meant to provide gait rehabilitation, we are looking for participants who have an altered gait.
Testing will occur on February 11th and 12th in the Human Motion Biomechanics Lab. We will provide a Slodoco donut to all participants on the day of the study. If you are interested in participating in our study, please reach out to Karoline (kwuchere@calpoly.edu) for more information.
