The CSU is putting on a STEM conference at Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday, March 16, and Friday, March 17, 2023.The theme of the conference is “Becoming More than the Sum of our Parts” and this could be a great opportunity to connect with colleagues across the CSU. Session topics include “Data for improving outcomes,” “Inclusive and Culturally responsive teaching,” “What does experiential learning mean to me,” “Strategies for closing the graduation rate gap” and other topics relevant to Cal Poly Engineering.
The Provost is asking for nominations from those interested in attending. While the note below indicates faculty, I think this opportunity could be relevant to certain staff as well, so don’t hesitate to put yourself forward. If you want to be considered, please email me no later than Thursday January 12th with a 2-3 sentence explanation of why you would like to attend and/or what you hope to gain from the conference.
