ASI Student Government is looking for a committed, compassionate student for the 2022-23 Chair of the University Union Advisory Board (UUAB).
The UUAB’s mission is to represent students by maximizing their opportunities and improving experiences at the Julian A. McPhee University Union, Cal Poly Recreation Center, Cal Poly Sports Complex, and Doerr Family Field.
Nominations begin on Tuesday, April 5, and any currently enrolled Cal Poly student may nominate an eligible student interested in the Chair position.
The Chair of the UUAB serves as an officer of the ASI corporation, facilitates UUAB meetings, and represents the UUAB on campus-wide committees. As a corporate officer of ASI, this position is eligible to receive a scholarship that aims to assist student leaders with the cost of education. The goal is to allow leaders to focus on their studies and commitment to ASI Student Government.
Students being nominated will be required to accept the nomination during a UUAB meeting on either April 5 or 19. UUAB meetings will be held in-person during spring quarter and located inside the University Union’s room 219. Meeting details can be found on the ASI website.
