User Experience Interviews for Cal Poly Portal Improvements

User experience interviews are being conducted to see how the Cal Poly Portal can be improved, especially in light of the unique circumstances presented this year. The purpose of the study is to perform user testing on a prototype of a redesigned Cal Poly Portal to allow a more thorough investigation into how the users (students) interact with these systems. Potential benefits associated with the study include deeper insights into students’ pain points so they can be addressed by designing and adapting future systems accordingly. No one will be required to participate in this study.

If you are 18 years of age or older, please sign up for an interview so students’ experiences can be better understood in order to make improvements to the Cal Poly Portal. Please help take a pulse of the student experience in your department by signing up for an interview here.

The interview should take approximately 30 minutes to an hour to complete, and has been designed by Sejal Kargal, a computer science student in the College of Engineering at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. This research is being conducted by Sejal Kargal, under the supervision of Dr. Kurfess, a professor in the Computer Science and Software Engineering Department. If you have questions regarding this study or would like to be informed of the results when the study is completed, please contact the researcher at skargal@calpoly.edu, or the researcher’s faculty advisor, Dr. Kurfess at fkurfess@calpoly.edu.
