Currently, Cal Poly Hyperloop is looking for students to apply for design lead roles for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. This club designs, builds, and tests a hyperloop pod for the SpaceX competition. For those that don’t know, a hyperloop system is a new transportation method that consists of a pod travelling down a low-pressure tunnel track, allowing for incredible speeds.
Being a design lead will be a great leadership position that would simultaneously complement in-class learning with opportunities to strengthen your resume. Designing will continue to take place regardless of in-person classes, and manufacturing will resume as soon as the shops open.
