The United States Patent and Trademark Office issued a Notice of Allowance for Dr. Taufik’s invention entitled “Multiple Input Single Output DC-DC Converter with Equal Load Sharing on Multiple Inputs.” The patent application will issue as an official U.S. patent later this year.
Former student Owen Jong is also an inventor on this patent.
Like the patent he worked so hard to create, Taufik’s success has not gone unnoticed. He was named the 2018-2018 Distinguished Scholarship Award recipient by the Academic senate.
Since 2012, Taufik has also recruited fellow academics from Indonesia to come to Cal Poly for shared experiences. Last year, he brought three visitors with a goal to strengthen international partnerships.
