Computer Science and Software Engineering Professor John Bellardo was one of three Cal Poly professors to receive the Academic Senate Distinguished Scholarship Award.
The awards recognizes achievement in scholarship and creative activity across the entire range of disciplines represented at Cal Poly. The award honors work conducted primarily at Cal Poly and celebrates both exemplary specific accomplishments and outstanding bodies of achievement
The Academic Senate Distinguished Scholarship Awards Committee selects faculty recipients based on their scholarly work and whether the work receives extensive peer recognition as substantial, seminal, and scholarly; contributes to improvements in the human condition and quality of life; and uses ideas, techniques, and creative work by industry and practitioners among other criteria.
John will be recognized at Fall Convocation on September 12.
