Calling All Cancer Survivors

Upcoming event graphic

At Relay For Life, no one faces cancer alone. Here in SLO we come together at Relay For Life to support and celebrate Survivors and Caregivers. We want to honor the Survivors and Caregivers on our campus and need your help.

A cancer survivor is someone diagnosed with cancer who has survived the initial diagnosis, and a caregiver is anyone who has cared for someone with cancer.  If you have done anything to provide support, given your time, or simply been a shoulder to lean on, you are and always will be a caregiver.

Our Relay For Life of San Luis Obispo will take place on May 14 from 10 am to 10 pm on the Mott Track and Field and we would love to invite the survivors and caregivers on our campus to come and let us celebrate you! We have a special first lap for survivors after our opening ceremony, so a little after 10am. We would love to see you there. Even if you have not personally been a survivor or caregiver, if you want to participate in the fight against cancer please join!

To RSVP for our campus’ Relay For Life, you can register at Relay For Life.

We also invite you to light a Luminaria in honor or in memory of those you know who have faced cancer.  We will have bags for sale to be decorated to remember or support a loved one.  Then join us on the Mott Track after sunset to remember with us during our Luminaria Ceremony.
