Spots are available for the course Data Feminism. This class focuses on examining power and justice from a feminist lens. Students will explore how systems of oppression — such as patriarchy, white supremacy, colonialism and racial capitalism — shape data collection, analysis and representation. Through theoretical readings, case studies and technical applications, students learn to identify biases in data practices and to develop justice-oriented, community-centered approaches to data science.
