The pre-award team has released the November 2025 training dates for My Cal Poly Research.
The pre-award team hosts training sessions to help you learn how to use My Cal Poly Research before you initiate your next sponsored project proposal. The team strongly recommends that you participate in a zoom-based training session before creating a Proposal Initiation Form (PIF) in the new system. There are several dates and times available to fit your schedule, as well as short videos and written guidance to help walk you through the process. Training dates and additional resources are available at this link on the pre-award website.
As a reminder, Proposal Initiation Forms (PIFs) must be submitted at least 20 working days before your proposal submission deadline. However, it is strongly encouraged for faculty and staff to submit their PIF as early as possible. This allows the pre-award team to provide additional guidance and training on the new system, ensuring a smooth and successful submission process.
