What made you choose to study engineering at Cal Poly?
The Learn by Doing motto is what brought me to the engineering program. I couldn’t pass up the hands-on experience that Cal Poly offers.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy dancing, climbing, paddleboarding, thrifting and camping.
How does your Cal Poly education apply to your job and daily life?
Cal Poly brought the best people into my life. My freshman year study buddies have grown to be my post-grad roommates. They continue to encourage me to do well in my career and enrich my daily life.
What clubs or activities were you involved in while at Cal Poly?
I was involved in EMPOWER, the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and MERGE Contemporary Dance.
What advice would you give to current engineering students?
A bad grade does not discredit your knowledge or work ethic. Don’t get discouraged if you get a low test score. In my experience, success is measured differently in the professional world. Also, San Luis Obispo is such a special place, so soak it up while you can!
