The Elections Working Group has two elections panels coming up. The first is this Thursday, October 22 from 4-5:15PM and the second is October 29 from 4-5PM. 

Election Fears and Socially-Engaged Responses – Thursday, October 22
The Elections Working Group and OUDI are sponsoring a roundtable discussion on Thursday, October 22 from 4:30-5:30PM titled “Election Fears and Socially-Engaged Responses.” This discussion will feature experts from around campus, including Interim Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, Dr. Denise Isom, Dr. Amber Williams, Dr. Michael Latner, and Bryanna Gay, ASI Secretary of Student Rights. The roundtable, moderated by chair of the Elections Working Group and Associate Dean of Students Dr. Blanca Martinez-Navarro will also provide an opportunity for attendees to participate in breakout room discussions. Policy Talk Show: Local, Statewide and National Issues on the 2020 Ballot The Elections Working Group is sponsoring a panel discussion on Thursday, October 29 from 4:30-5:30pm titled “Policy Talk Show: Local, Statewide and National Issues on the 2020 Ballot”. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Thanayi Jackson from the History Department and features campus and community experts including Erica Stewart from the SLO City Council, Dr. Marilyn Tseng from Kinesiology and Public Health, and Dr. Ben Ruttenberg from Biological Sciences. Come explore ways to approach the ballot, with a particular focus on local issues as well as health and environmental issues at all levels.
