Aerospace Engineering, BS

A Degree Built for Complex Systems

Build the knowledge to design, analyze and test aircraft and spacecraft. Our ABET-accredited degree pairs engineering theory with laboratories, design courses and a capstone project.

What You Will Study

Start with math and physics, then study aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, dynamics and design.

What You Will Take Away

Learn how parts work together in air and space vehicles, refine designs and solve complex problems with a team. Your senior capstone brings these skills together in an aircraft or spacecraft project.

Concentrations

Choose Aeronautics or Astronautics as you move through the program. Both build on core coursework, then take you deeper into the systems, environments and design work that interest you most.

Aeronautics Concentration

Focus on how aircraft stay in the air and respond in flight. Study aerodynamics, flight performance, propulsion, dynamics and control, experimental testing and aircraft design in a senior project.
