Prepare for Aerospace Engineering
Aerospace Engineering builds on math, physics and clear technical communication. In high school, take mathematics through the highest calculus level available, along with physics and English. Coursework in drafting or visualization, and familiarity with tools and shop safety, can also give you a useful foundation for the program.
Services and Resources for Current Students
Your work in the program involves more than classes. Use this page to connect with advising, organizations and department resources for academic planning, technical work and key milestones.
Academic Advising
Course Planning and Program Guidance
Department advising supports decisions about coursework, concentrations and progress toward degree completion. Meet with department advisors for AERO-specific questions, and use our college’s advising services for broader academic planning and university requirements.
AERO Student Organizations
Clubs and Instructionally Related Activities
AERO clubs and instructionally related activities give you ways to take on work beyond the curriculum. Join peers who design, build and test aircraft, spacecraft and other systems, take part in competitions and connect with practicing engineers.
