Design, Build, Fly
Cal Poly Design, Build, Fly (DBF) is a student organization that competes annually in the SAE Aero Design West competition. Members apply engineering methods to design, build and fly unmanned, electric-powered, radio-controlled aircraft that meet the competition’s annual mission requirements. Throughout the year, the team develops prototype and competition aircraft, conducts research and testing for future designs, and trains new RC pilots. While much of the work relates to Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, students of all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome.
