Cal Poly Space Innovation Club
The Cal Poly Space Innovation Club (CPSI) is a student organization dedicated to advancing rover technology in support of interplanetary exploration. Our founding goal is to establish a village of mini rovers on the surface of Mars, starting with Poly1Rover: A mission to land the Mars1MiniRover on Mars and recover sample material left behind by Perseverance. We're a team of believers and creators who bring real enthusiasm to a daring mission, and we exist to set the stage for the next generation of scientists and engineers at Cal Poly.
Alongside the mission itself, we're training future engineers and club members to promote longevity. We teach the foundational systems engineering, orbital mechanics, and electrical, structural, and thermal engineering skills our projects require, and turn that knowledge into accessible educational content for the wider public. We work to grow public interest in space exploration and build real relationships with industry, both to generate excitement around mini rovers and to open networking and career pathways for our members.
