Giving Opportunities

Our faculty, staff and students are changing the world around them through Learn by Doing. The College of Engineering is committed to student success by recruiting a broad cross section of students that includes women and students from groups that are historically under-served in engineering; providing a space where hands-on learning allows students to break down big challenges and solve them with systems-level approaches; and expanding opportunities for applied research.

Support from our external partners – alumni, parents, and corporate partners – directly enhances the Cal Poly Engineering experience. Whether supporting a stronger student body, deepening traditions of academic excellence or expanding innovation-driven initiatives, your support powers Learn by Doing forward. College of Engineering Dean's Innovation Fund

Dean's Innovation Fund

The Dean’s Innovation Fund is an opportunity for donors to have a direct impact on the success of our students and faculty. This fund enables the Dean to support immediate funding needs that arise over the course of the year to support research projects, leadership development and education experiences for students.
Past support led to the creation of our Summer Undergraduate Research Program and currently supports classroom and lab needs to ensure we continue to deliver hands-on learning opportunities in a virtual environment. Donors who support the Dean Innovation Fund with gifts above $1,000 are invited to join the Dean’s Club for Innovation (PDF). To learn more about how to support the Dean’s Innovation Fund, contact our Advancement Team.
