I’m pleased to share information about Sunset to Sunrise: Pacific Navigation, Living Traditions, and Maritime Futures, a cross-campus series taking place March 5–6 at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and March 16 at Cal Poly Maritime.
Presented in partnership with 500 Sails, the series brings interactive discussions, a keynote lecture and a traditional canoe ceremony, the program explores living Pacific voyaging knowledge in conversation with contemporary maritime education.
We welcome students, faculty, staff and community members to attend. The series is highly interdisciplinary and appropriate for student attendance. Please contact Dawn Neill (dbneill@calpoly.edu) with questions or if you would like to schedule a time to meet with 500 Sails during their visit.
