Dianne DeTurris, Aerospace Engineering professor, has been elected to the grade of Associate Fellow-Class of 2020 in the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). This group of AIAA Associate Fellows are individuals of distinction who have made notable and valuable contributions to the arts, sciences, or technology of aeronautics or astronautics.
DeTurris is also an author in a new AIAA Progress in Aeronautics and Astronautics Series book entitled Complex Systems Engineering: Theory and Practice (Volume 256, 2019). The books first chapter, co-authored with Cal Poly alumna Adipratnia Asmady, is called “Systems Thinking for Complexity in Aerospace.”
